Kansas man dies after SUV travels into dry creek bed

HODGEMAN COUNTY—One person died in an accident on Wednesday in Hodgeman County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Lincoln Navigator driven by  Michael J.  Keiley, 84, Jetmore, was northbound on 219 Road one mile south of L. Road.

The SUV traveled into the west ditch, continued through a barbed wire fence, through a pasture and came to rest in a dry creek bed.

 Keiley was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Berkwith Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
