Twila Marie Bishop |1931-2021|

 Twila Marie Bishop, 90, of McPherson, passed away at 6:25 p.m., Sunday, August 22nd, 2021 peacefully Cedars House.

Twila was born in Ruleton, on August 1, 1931, a daughter of Rufas and Louise (Baker) Stephens.

Through the years Twila attended Union School in Kanarado,  and graduated from Goodland High School, Goodland,  in 1949.

She attended Goodland Bible Church, Calvary Gospel Church, Goodland,  and New Hope Evangelical Church in McPherson.

Twila was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. She also worked for White Machine and Motor from 1945-1948, Boothroy Memorial 1948-1960, Goodland Savings and Loan 1960-1975, she also worked various odd jobs throughout her life.

Twila enjoyed baking and sewing, she loved her children and grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Twila Marie Stephens was united in marrige to William Ernest Bishop on December 20, 1951 at The Gospel Hall, Goodland, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in Goodland. They then moved to McPherson in 2007 to be closer to the kids. Bill died on January 1, 2020.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Moors and her husband Winston, of McPherson, and Debbie McIntyre and her husband Brian, of Waukesha, Wisconsin; her siblings, Maxine Klein, of San Antonio, Texas and Irma Silkman, of Burlington, Colorado; her grandchildren, Cody Moors (Jessica), Lindsey Vincent (Shiloh), Brock Moors (Amanda), Joshua McIntyre, Jamie Cote' (Michael), Tommy McIntyre and Jessica McIntyre and her 7 great-grandchildren.

Twila was preceded in death by her parents Rufus and Louise; her mother Francis Stephens; grandson Derek McIntyre; a sister Betty Locklear; a brother Dale Stephens and her husband Bill Bishop.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, McPherson.

A private family funeral service will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021.

Burial will be at the McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas.
