John F. Milner |1961-2021|

John F. Milner, 60, died December 13, 2021, at his home.  He was born June 21, 1961, in Fort Smith, AR, to Robert H. and Olive W. (Waggener) Milner.

John grew up in Arkansas City, KS.  After graduating from Arkansas City High School, he attended Pittsburg State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree.   John spent most of his adult life in Texas and helped raise his three children, Tyler, Austin, and Madi, in partnership with Lynne. 

In 2011, he moved to Hutchinson, where he was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, and worked at the Kansas State Fair every year. 

In the automotive industry for much of his life, John enjoyed all things involving cars.  He also loved football and was an avid Cowboys fan.  Sundays would typically involve cooking up a homemade batch of chicken wings, watching the game, and then taking an afternoon nap in the recliner.  John was happiest when he was with his family, especially his three children.  He loved being a ‘Dad’.

He is survived by: his sons, Tyler Milner and Austin Milner (Kate); daughter, Madison Milner; father, Robert Milner; sisters, Anne Wilson (Jack) and Mary Pankratz (Darrell); brother, Robert Milner (Jennifer); mother of his children, Lynne Milner; and many other well-loved extended family members.

John was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Olive Milner. 

Memorial service will be Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Grace Episcopal Church, 2 Hyde Park Drive, Hutchinson.  Burial will follow in the Parker Cemetery, Arkansas City.  The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.  The time for the memorial service and the burial will be published at a future date.
