HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Miles Blaylock carded a 1-over-par 72 on Thursday to win medalist honors and lead Trinity Catholic to a first-place team finish at the Trinity Catholic Invitational, held at Carey Park Golf Course.
Blaylock made the turn at 2-over but closed with a 1-under-par 34 on the back nine, highlighted by an eagle on the par-4 15th. His performance helped the Celtics post a team score of 307 for the tournament title.
Trinity Catholic had four golfers in the top 10. Ian Shaw finished fourth with a 76, while Tyler Casebolt (79) and Lincoln Barnes (80) followed close behind. Seamus Hogan added an 81 for the Celtics.
Hutchinson Central Christian placed second with a 313 and was led by the Kooiman duo — Cael (74) and Ryland (75) — who finished second and third overall. Tyler Reed tied for seventh with an 81, while Nathan Reed posted an 83.
Inman (323) took third in the eight-team field, with Creighton Friesen and Braeden Stutzman each breaking 100. Hesston followed in fourth (365), paced by Tytan Howard’s 84 and Reece Buhrman’s 89. Sedgwick (397) and Nickerson (431) rounded out the local contingent, with Keighan Earles (87) and Alfonso Lozano (96) leading their respective squads.
