
HARVY COUNTY, Kan. —One person was injured in a home explosion in Harvey County.
Just after 8p.m. Tuesday, Newton Fire and EMS C-Shift responded to a home explosion in the 3000 block of Southeast 48th, according to a social media reporte.
Upon arrival crews found one individual with burn injuries and a fire in the basement. The patient was transported by ambulance to Wichita. The fire was extinguished but not before causing moderate damage to the home.
No pets or firefighters were injured during this incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
