Stage 9 is holding auditions for a musical they will have this summer.  Ride the Cyclone will be performed July 31 through August 3.

"Ride the Cyclone" is a dark comedy set in a dilapidated warehouse at an abandoned amusement park, an aging mechanical fortune-teller called The Amazing Karnak comes to life and brings with him a ghostly choir of five deceased high-schoolers - all members of the Saint Cassian Chamber Choir, who were tragically killed on the park’s Cyclone roller coaster.

Now, Karnak has the power to return one of these youths to life - but they must all decide among themselves who is the most worthy of a second chance to “ride the cyclone” that is life.

Auditions are scheduled for Friday May 9 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday May 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stage 9 theatre at 9 South Main.

They are looking for four men and three women to complete the cast.

Auditions are open to ages 17 & up. All 17-year-old auditioners will be required to have a parent/guardian present to sign the content acknowledgment. They ask that you prepare 16-32 bars of the song of your choice and one show appropriate monologue one minute long.

Please have your comprehensive summer schedule of conflicts! Rehearsal schedules will be compiled after casting.
