USD 308 Hutchinson Public Schools is continuing to recruit employees for the 2026-27 school year, with openings spanning classroom instruction, special education, early childhood, coaching, food service, custodial and support staff positions.
District officials noted that while numerous positions are listed as available, some may already have candidates hired who have not yet been assigned to specific schools or roles.
"We have multiple individuals who have been hired but have not yet been placed in specific roles," the district said in the announcement. "As a result, not all listed open positions are currently unfilled. Placement decisions are ongoing, and updates will be made as positions are finalized."
Among the licensed teaching positions currently listed are elementary classroom teachers at Faris and Graber elementary schools, an elementary English as a Second Language teacher, an elementary music teacher, a counselor at Allen Magnet School, multiple special education instructors, a business teacher at Hutchinson High School, and a physical education and health teacher at Hutchinson High School.
The district is also seeking several early childhood employees, including certified and classified pre-kindergarten teachers, a lead teacher at Lincoln Elementary, teacher assistants, and child care staff.
Coaching and activity sponsor openings include assistant coaches for boys and girls tennis, track and cheerleading, along with the head baseball coaching position and a Business Professionals of America sponsor at Hutchinson High School.
Classified positions are available across the district, including paraprofessionals at multiple schools, an educational aide, speech-language pathologist, accompanist, lunch and recess aide, food service secretary and an in-school suspension supervisor.
Additional vacancies include full-time and substitute custodians, a head night custodian, daycare custodian, head cook, cooks, kitchen assistants and other food service personnel.
