"At about 1 a.m. CT Monday, approximately two dozen Union Pacific rail cars derailed in Hutchinson, Kansas. The incident occurred near 17th Avenue and N. Halstead St. There were no injuries or releases. Cleanup is underway and the incident is under investigation."

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The railroad crossing at 17th Avenue has reopened following an overnight train derailment, though one northbound lane of K-61 remains closed, officials said.
The derailment occurred along the rail line between 17th and 56th avenues. Crews continue to work in the area to clear debris and make repairs. To accommodate heavy equipment, one lane of K-61 from 17th to 30th avenues is closed.
Drivers are urged to use caution, watch for crews and detours, and allow extra time for travel. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
