
KINGMAN, Kan. — Kingman claimed the team title on its home course Tuesday, while Pratt, Halstead, Lyons and Pretty Prairie all turned in solid performances at the Kingman Invitational boys golf tournament at Eagles Pub and Golf Course.
Kingman won the tournament with a 318, finishing well clear of runner-up Andale at 352. A second Kingman group also placed third at 356.
Pratt finished fifth as a team with a 384, just ahead of Halstead in sixth at 386. Lyons placed seventh at 402, while Pretty Prairie was ninth at 416.
Kingman’s Jace Sasina earned medalist honors with an 82, while teammate Malachi Graber added an 85 to tie for fourth. Chaz Snyder carded a 94, Grady McBeth shot a 95 and Drew Kelly added a 98 for the third-place Kingman squad. In the winning Kingman group, Hayden Gehring led the way with a 102, followed by Zayden Malec at 103 and Nicholas Rohlman at 113.
Pratt was led by Quinton Humble, who shot an 84 to tie for second individually, and Beau Ferrell, who added an 88 to place ninth. Teagan Richardson finished with a 102 and Drake Riffey shot a 110 as the Greenbacks placed fifth.
Halstead was paced by Maxx Linton, who carded an 88 to tie for ninth. Lance Anderson and Harrison Wilson each shot 97, while Aaron Learn posted a 104 as the Dragons finished sixth, just two shots behind Pratt.
Lyons was led by Noah Geeves, who fired an 84 to tie for second. Elijah Lyon added a 101, Derek Valerio shot a 103 and Easton Benavidez finished at 114 as the Lions took seventh.
