HUTCHINSON, Kan. — According to numbers provided to the Kansas State Fair Board at their meeting on Tuesday, attendance at Monday night's Demolition Derby was strong.
Kansas State Fair General Manager Bryan Schulz told the board it was a record attendance since at least 2015, with 1,681 of the over 2800 in attendance being walk-up tickets.
Also, the bingo on Monday showed strong numbers, with over $1,100 coming back to the fair from tickets purchased.
The carnival also had a strong day, with $140,000 in receipts, which is well above last year, but last year also had some drizzle, which likely kept attendance down on Monday in 2023.
