HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Family Community Theatre's production of "Nuncrackers" will be on stage at the Flag Theatre beginning Friday, Nov. 29. The show will run November 29-December 1 and December 5-8.
"Nuncrackers is about these five people, four nuns and one father just putting on this show to raise money for their convent," said director Nicholas Amezola. "They're not very good at what they do. It's the first time putting on a live show."
Each show will be different, as it's not all completely scripted.
"There's a lot of written-in improv in the show too," Amezola said. "That's like interacting with the audience. It's been a lot of interacting with me I've been putting on different voices different like people that might be in the audience. That's definitely been the hardest part."
Tickets are on sale at Absolutely Home 15 East 14th, Bookends Bookstore, 123 North Main, and online at www.familycommunitytheatre.org. Kids tickets are $7, youth and senior tickets are $12, adult tickets are $15.
