HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Karla Nichols with the Reno County Health Department notes that, while the clinic on Tuesday at the Sports Arena was the only one for this week, a whole lot more of those in the over 65 cohort that have not been vaccinated yet will be by the end of the month.

"Next week on Monday, we have another primary dose clinic, we're going to do 700 vaccines," Nichols said. "We're going to continue to do those 65 plus. Next Tuesday is a secondary dose clinic."

Nichols said they are working around the Sports Arena's schedule and the third week of March will be extra busy.

"On that Monday on the 15th is another primary dose clinic, on that Tuesday is a secondary dose clinic and then on that Friday there's another secondary dose clinic," Nichols said. "That Sunday, the 21st is when we're doing the second round to those teachers we did at the Salthawk Activity Center."

The hope is that everyone who wants a shot in that 65 plus group has signed up somewhere by now. The Health Department only knows about the doses they administer, not those administered by local pharmacies, so if you haven't gotten an appointment yet, you need to sign up online as soon as possible so they know who still needs one.
