The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson will welcome families back for the upcoming school year with open houses Tuesday, Aug. 11, at its two Hutchinson Club sites.
Parents and Club members are invited to stop by anytime from 4 to 6 p.m. to tour their Club site, meet Vision Leaders and learn more about what to expect during the new school year.
Club staff will also be available to review expectations and answer questions from students and parents. New members and families with children in kindergarten through second grade are especially encouraged to attend.
The Boys & Girls Clubs operates two sites serving different age groups in Hutchinson.
The Avenue A Club, located at 111 S. Madison St., serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The Shadduck Park Club, located at 600 W. Second Ave., serves students in sixth grade through their senior year of high school.
Organizers say the open house gives families an opportunity to become familiar with the Club environment and connect with staff before after-school programming gets underway for another school year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson provides programs and activities for area youth with an emphasis on creating a safe and supportive environment outside of school hours.
Tuesday's open house is open to all current parents and Club members, along with families preparing to join the organization.
