Hutchinson, Kan. – The next to last meeting of the fiscal year was fairly routine for the Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees on Thursday.
The Board acknowledged the success of its men’s golf and football teams, both of which claimed national championships during the 2020-21 year. In addition, the Board was introduced to its new coaching staff for men’s basketball, head coach Tommy DeSalme and assistant coaches Eric Nitsche and Anthony White.
The Board also conducted several items of business including approving a one-time compensation payment to its benefits-eligible employees and received an update on changes in the Higher Learning Commission accreditation requirements.
The next meeting of the board will be on Thursday, June 24. The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. in the Shears Technology Center Justice Theater. The public is invited to attend.
