

Raymond B. Harper Jr., 86, of Hutchinson, died March 9, 2021, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. He was born June 25, 1934, in Uniontown, PA, to Raymond and Evelyn (Cashner) Harper Sr.
Ray served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955. He was stationed at the base in Yoder and served on the aircraft carrier, USS Coral Sea. Ray worked as a meat cutter at various grocery stores, finishing his career with Wal-Mart. He loved all sports, especially baseball. Ray’s favorite teams were the Baltimore Orioles and the Kansas City Royals. He was a member of First Church of God, Hutchinson.
In 1954 Ray married Ina M. Gibson in Hutchinson. They shared 67 years together.
He is survived by: wife, Ina Harper, Hutchinson; daughters, Kathy Drouhard (Terry) and Susie George (Terry), both of Hutchinson; sister, Cookie Miller, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Matthew Drouhard (Lindsay), Anne Beck (Tanner), and Tanner George (fiancé, Chloe); great-grandchildren, Regan and Truitt Beck, Jackson, Nolan and Silas Drouhard.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no services at this time.
