HARVEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 11 a.m. Saturday in Harvey County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Hino Truck driven by Kendall Damaricus Talley, 24, Wichita, was stopped, facing eastbound, at the stop sign on 125th Street at Broadway.
The truck crossed Broadway in front of a 1969 GMC pickup driven by Ty Michael Carlson, 24, Newton. The pickup traveled off the the roadway to the right to avoid a collision and collided with the truck.
EMS transported Carlson to Newton Medial Center. Talley and a passenger in the truck were not injured. Carlson was not wearing a seat belt according to the KHP.
