DELOS V. SMITH SENIOR CENTER
On Friday March 21, the Delos V. Smith Senior Center will be hosting an Alzheimer's Association fundraiser. This event is open to the public and you do not have to be a Senior to participate in this event.
The theme of our fundraiser is "Game On For Alzheimer's". We will spend the day from 9:00 am-4:00 pm playing different card and/or board games, including Pitch, Rummikub, Mexican Train Dominoes, Mahjong, Wahoo and more.
The suggested donation to participate in the games is $5. We will serve a Chili & Potato Soup lunch along with Cinnamon Rolls for dessert, anyone can drop in for the lunch. Lunch will be served from 11:00 am-1:00 pm with a suggested donation of $5 for the lunch.
We have an in honor or memory of bulletin board where anyone can donate for a loved one that has suffered or is suffering from Alzheimer's, these donations are $20 and we will list the names of those being honored on the bulletin board in the form of a special card and these names will also be posted in our April Calendar.
We have shirts available for order at $20 each, proceeds going to the Alzheimer's Association. We will also have a box present to drop change or free will donations in.
A representative from the Alzheimer's Association will visit during the day to help promote this event. Everyone is welcome and we can offer tours of our Senior Center during the day.
This event should be a lot of fun and we look forward to the support from our community.
