Diane Newlin |1938-2021|

Diane Newlin, 83, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Stillwater Medical Center. She was born on April 4, 1938 in Pratt to Perry LeRoy and Virginia Louise (Leach) Fincham. Diane married Paul William Newlin on April 12, 1957 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2009.

Diane graduated from Liberal High School in 1956. She attended Colorado Women's College and Wichita State University before going to Oklahoma State University. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Stillwater. She was a school volunteer and would go in and read to the children and an advocate for Association for Children with learning Disabilities. She enjoyed reading, needlework, spending time with her family, trying new hobbies, cooking, animals and farming/ranching as a hobby and helping with Miss Kansas Pageant.

She is survived by her children, Lisa (Darren) Vargas of Wellington, Stephen Newlin of Wellington, Brian (Lucy) Newlin of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Jason Newlin of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Jonathan Newlin of Stillwater, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Fullerton, Abegail Enriquez, Samantha (Kai) Jonat, Sarah (Kyle) Smith, Danielle (Jessika) Vargas, Darren (Whitney) Vargas and Alyssa (Zlatko) Djurovic; and 25 grandchildren.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul William Newlin; and daughter, Mary Elizabeth Newlin.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt with Reverend Leah R. Hracovec presiding. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
