Rollen Edward “Rollie” McGrath, 77, of Medicine Lodge, died Monday, October 11, 2021, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.
He was born on September 5, 1944, in Wichita, the son of Donald McGrath and Elsie (Stejskal) McGrath.
Rollie was a self-employed farmer and rancher who loved working the land. In his younger days, he was an avid hunter. He was a dedicated reader of the High Plains Journal, was known for his humorous comments, and loved to make people laugh. He was devoted to his beloved dog, Rachel.
Surviving are one daughter, Amy (Larry) Brownlee of Sterling, KS; two sons, Mike McGrath of Medicine Lodge, and Matt (Megan) McGrath of Medicine Lodge; nine grandchildren, Bryson, Macy, & Bella Brownlee, Darrek, Deagan, Davin, Mattison, & Cooper McGrath, and Zack Snow; and two great-grandchildren, Hendrix and Scarlet McGrath.
Rollie was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Linda Ann McGrath.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 1:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge 67104.
Funeral services will be on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, with Pastor Tom Walters officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
