Active case count in Reno County back above 50

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The active COVID-19 case count in Reno County has bounced back above 50.

As of 1 p.m. on Monday afternoon August 10, 2020, there were 54 active cases in Reno County, with 273 total cases throughout the pandemic and 218 recovered.

4,854 Reno County residents have been tested, with 4,581 negatives for a positive test rate of 5.62% and 7.72% of the population tested thus far.

Hospital activity includes a census of 57 total patients for all causes. Five prospective COVID patients are awaiting results, while six are currently admitted. None are currently intubated or in ICU.

Only one patient in Reno County thus far has died with COVID-19 as the primary cause of death.
