KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs have acquired offensive lineman Joshua Ezeudu from the New York Giants in exchange for a 2028 seventh-round draft pick, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The move adds depth to an offensive line that struggled during Kansas City’s first two preseason games.
The Giants selected Ezeudu in the third round with the 67th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-4, 310-pound former North Carolina standout has appeared in 33 games with 10 starts during his first three active NFL seasons.
Ezeudu has experience at both guard and tackle. According to Pro Football Focus, he has played 402 regular-season snaps at left tackle and 317 at left guard. He primarily played left tackle during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
Ezeudu missed the entire 2025 season because of a calf injury before re-signing with New York in March.
During four seasons at North Carolina, Ezeudu logged 1,247 snaps at left guard, 508 at left tackle and 171 at right tackle.
Kansas City will need to make a corresponding move to add Ezeudu to its 90-player roster. The Chiefs currently have 15 offensive linemen ahead of Sunday’s mandatory roster reduction to 53 players.
