
Letha Elinor Noblitt, 93, passed away April 24, 2021, at her home. She was born Aug. 15, 1927, in Hutchinson, to Edward J. and Ethel A. (Chase) Barnes.
Letha was a 1945 graduate of Buhler High School. She worked many years as a circulation clerk at the Hutchinson News and Hutchinson News Credit Union. Letha was an avid golfer, bowler, and swimmer. She was a member of the Kansas Women’s Golf Association, Women’s Bowling Association, and Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.
On Jan. 12, 1957, Letha married Dwight W. Noblitt, in Hutchinson. They shared over 42 years of marriage, prior to his death on April 1, 2000.
She is survived by: children, Ed (Katy) Field of Topeka, and Cindy Ortego of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Valerie (Curtis) Wilhelmson, Jason (Morgan) Field, Travis (Janet) Ortego, and Terra (Chris) Lock; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Letha was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son, Randall Field; stepdaughters, Dorothy McCandless and Carol Krogstad; four brothers; and one sister.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with The Reverend Richard G. Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
