MCPHERSON COUNTY —Law enforcement across Kansas continues to see more drivers traveling well above the posted speed limit, despite a statewide campaign to crack down on excessive speeding.
Kansas Highway Patrol Lieutenant Rust stopped a vehicle going 101 mph in a 60 mph construction zone in Southern McPherson County on Thursday, according to a social media report from the patrol. The driver had no insurance, no current registration, and a warrant out for their arrest.
Lieutenant Rust made an arrest and transported the individual to jail. The speeding violation alone is $828.00, according to the KHP.
