Loretta May Ruth Shultz, 67, passed away August 18, 2021, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice-St. Francis, Wichita.  She was born October 2, 1953, in Hutchinson, to Roscoe T. and Charlotte (Hagerman) Shultz.

Loretta was a graduate of Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson Community College, and Wichita State University.  She worked as an occupational therapist, retiring with many years of service.  Loretta was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hutchinson.

She was devoted to her country and served in the Patriot Guard Riders.  Loretta was a lover of animals.  She was always rescuing and fostering animals, especially dogs and cats.

Loretta is survived by:  nieces,  Julie (Bill) McKeel and Sarah (Larry) Ford; nephews, Leonard (Angela) Nelson, Nick Prine, Rob Prine, James Prine, John Prine, Danny Prine, and Martin Shultz; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews;  and her fur babies, Delilah, PT, Boomer, and Snowflake.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; brother, Melvin Shultz; and sister, Grace Shultz.

Cremation has taken place.  Celebration of Life service will be held at a future date with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Loretta May Ruth Shultz Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
