ANDOVER, Kan. — Hesston earned a top-three team finish and placed two golfers in the top 10 during Monday’s Andover Central Invitational at Terradyne Country Club.
The Swathers carded a 323 to finish third in the 11-team field. Grant Waterson and Eli Frantz each shot 77 to tie for eighth individually, while Carter Frey added an 83 and Austin Penner posted an 86.
Buhler placed eighth with a team score of 334, led by Zach Chance’s 76 — which tied for sixth overall. Drew DeMeyer followed with a 79 to finish just outside the top 10, and Nick Chance added an 85. James Dingler and Brennan Geilenfeldt rounded out Buhler’s scoring with rounds of 94 and 97, respectively.
Andover captured the team title with a 299, paced by four players in the top five. Colt Farrow of Andover Central was the individual medalist with a 72. Andover Central finished second at 312.
