HAYS, Kan. — The sales team with EAGLE Media in Hutchinson were named the Eagle Spirit Award winners for the second time in as many years at the Annual Sales Conference in Hays Tuesday night.
The Eagle Spirit Award goes to the Eagle market that demonstrates the same high commitment to community service modeled by company founder, Bob Schmidt, since the establishment of the company in 1948.
“The Eagle Hutch team exhibits consistency, reliability and a community focus, year after year, and again in 2021," said Kurt David, CEO of EAGLE. "Much of that consistency is based upon their commitment to be consultants with their clients and focus on long-term, annual contracts and relationships. But, it’s their commitment to the community of Hutchinson that truly stands out and why this award was given to them again this year.”
David highlighted the achievements of KWBW in particular in his presentation.
“KWBW is the voice of Hutchinson," David said. Their morning show regularly focuses upon interviews with local community and civic leaders and community service organizations. With top notch news and sports coverage, this AM station produces revenues that are 26% higher than any other AM station at Eagle.”
David also spoke about the many community projects that Eagle Hutchinson is a partner in on an ongoing basis.
"Individually, every employee-owner throughout the Eagle Media Center is dedicated to the community," David said. In addition to the EAGLE Spirit Award, members of the Hutch sales team won a number of awards in multiple categories. Each were recognized for their individual achievements.
