
The McPherson County Sheriff’s Office announced on Monday the retirement of K9 Taz. In a social media post the sheriff's office wrote:
"It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of K9 Taz. For the past 6 years, Taz has faithfully served the citizens of McPherson County assisting in numerous drug investigations, evidence recovery efforts, and tracking operations."
"His dedication and skill have made a lasting impact on our department and community. Taz's final day on patrol will be Wednesday, July 16th. As he begins his well-earned retirement, we'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the community for your continued support over the years - whether through fundraisers or kind words of encouragement. We wish K9 Taz a happy and restful retirement! Thank you for your service, pup!"
