The Food Bank of Reno County has officially begun serving clients at its new location and is expanding access by eliminating the need for appointments.
The organization announced it is now operating at 921 E. 4th Ave., Suite A, in Hutchinson, where individuals and families can visit during designated hours to receive food assistance.
Officials say the new location allows the Food Bank to streamline services and make it easier for residents in need to access groceries without scheduling ahead of time.
Clients can now stop by during regular operating hours to shop for food and household essentials.
Current service hours include:
- Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Thursday: Noon – 7 p.m.
- Friday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Food Bank is closed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Staff encourage residents with questions to call the Food Bank of Reno County at 620-665-4076.
The move and updated service model are aimed at improving accessibility for Reno County residents facing food insecurity, allowing clients to receive assistance more easily during the week.
