Patricia ‘Patty’ Lea Collins, 67, passed away Feb. 8, 2021, at her home. She was born Oct. 9, 1953, in Hutchinson, to Glenn Dewayne and Betty Lou (Davis) Kite.

Patty was a 1972 graduate of Nickerson High School. For over 23 years, she was the owner/operator of a day care provider business. Patty was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, retiring after 23 years of service. She attended Temple Baptist Church, Hutchinson. 

Patty looked forward to being around horses and going fishing. Her greatest enjoyment in life was when she had the opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren or attend their activities. Patty thoroughly loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Patty is survived by her children, Tiffany (Christopher) Craig, Chris (Dani) Collins, and Brandy (Charles Williams) Collins, all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Colten Tipton, Skyler Jones, Shayden Collins, and Maxton Collins; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Connie (Terry) House of South Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Terry Kite.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Dr. John Wolf officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
