HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Business owners looking to save money on their employee's health insurance can go now to let Blue Cross and Blue Shield know of their interest in more information.
"We knew that the actual survey link would be coming," said Debra Teufel with the chamber. "Originally, it was advertised as coming in August. They just made that survey link go live on Monday, July 18 and it will be open for 30 days. The survey will close on August 18."
If you have two or more employees, fill out the survey.
"It doesn't commit you to the plan and it doesn't commit you to having to be a chamber member," Teufel said. "If you do get in the survey, you will then be able the recipient of a rate structure in September that you can decide if it fits your business needs and if it saves you money. Then you would go through the enrollment process."
With 37 chambers from across the state sending the survey to their members, it is likely that the association would have a larger group to spread the risk to than most small businesses can do alone.
