Barbara Carol Massey, 89, of Hutchinson, died December 23,2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born April 14, 1932, in Borger, Texas, to Jack and Doris (Terry) Green.
Barbara graduated from Pratt High School in 1950 and later graduated beauty school in 1972. She was a homemaker and ran Barbara’s Beauty Shop out of her home. Barbara was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She also enjoyed crafts especially ceramics.
On April 9, 1950, she married David Dean Massey in Pratt. They shared 71 years together.
Barbara is survived by: husband, David Massey, Hutchinson; son, David “Craig” Massey, Hutchinson; daughters, Kay Massey, Hutchinson, Jodean Gogan, Buffalo, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Jerry and Bill Green; and grandson, Ronnie Gogan II.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Larry Wedel officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
