⛳️ Buhler’s Chance wins AVCTL III title, Crusaders 2nd

WICHITA, Kan. — Buhler’s Zach Chance won the individual championship Tuesday, leading the Crusaders to a second-place team finish at the AVCTL Division III boys golf tournament at Willowbend Golf Club.

Chance shot a 3-over-par 75 on the par-72 course, finishing one stroke ahead of McPherson’s Cole Cooper. Chance opened with a 37 on the front nine and closed with a 38.

Circle won the team title with a 318, edging Buhler by three strokes. The Crusaders finished second with a 321, while McPherson was third with a 327. Augusta placed fourth with a 335, followed by Winfield at 344 and Mulvane at 403.

Buhler placed five golfers in the top 14. Isaiah Heredia tied for seventh with an 81, Nick Chance tied for ninth with an 82, Jace Horning finished 13th with an 83 and Carter Stover tied for 14th with an 84. Ben Gazaway added a 92.

McPherson was led by Cooper, who shot a 76 after rounds of 39 and 37. Hudson Krehbiel tied for ninth with an 82, Zane Sporleder tied for 14th with an 84 and Paxton Ingels tied for 17th with an 85. Hunter Vogelsberg shot 90, and Drake Timson finished with a 97.
