HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Just before 11 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to 219 E. Avenue A for the report of a building fire.
Following the initial investigation, smoke was found coming from the exterior wall by the electrical meter. Exterior siding was removed to expose the area and the fire was extinguished.
The home was occupied at the time of the fire and all were able to escape without injury.
