RICE COUNTY, Kan. — On August 21, the Rice County Sheriff’s Office participated in a four-hour saturation patrol in partnership with the Lyons Police Department and Kansas Highway Patrol, with valuable assistance from Barton County Sheriff’s Office and Great Bend Police Department K9 team, according to a media release from the sheriff's office.
During the operation, 64 contacts were made, resulting in six arrests. One incident involved a brief vehicle pursuit. Seized narcotics included methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and other substances.
