Helen M. Regehr, 92, passed away March 23, 2022, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born March 2, 1930, in McPherson, the daughter of Ray A. and Mildred H. (Rump) Smith. She graduated from Inman High School and had received her teaching certificate from McPherson College. She then taught for several years. Helen was baptized on April 1, 1942 and became a member of Groveland Christian Church. She married Arthur H. Regehr in Groveland on April 27, 1952. He passed away on April 2, 2002.
Helen was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for over fifty years. She was also a 4H leader and a homemaker.
Survivors include her children, Kathleen (Tim) McAuley, Chicago, IL, Debbie Kendrick, McPherson; Wayne (Bev) Regehr, Inman; and Roger (Patti) Regehr, Inman; twin brother Howard Smith, McPherson; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Brunk, South Hutchinson; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Gene Meek; brothers, Glen and John Smith; sister-in-law, Vivian Smith, brother-in-law, Ivan Brunk; and granddaughter, Bethany Anne Regehr.
Family will receive friends from 5-7PM Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Inman Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 31, 2022, at North Inman Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 am at Bethel Mennonite Church. Services will be live streamed on the Inman Funeral Home Facebook page and the Bethel Mennonite Church YouTube Channel.
