Reno County unemployment rate increased to 2.8% in March 2022

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County unemployment rate increased slightly in March 2022 compared to the previous month, according to the Kansas Department of Labor.
The jobless rate increased from 2.5% to 2.8%. The unemployment rate in 2021 was 3.4%.
The number of those out of work in the county was 819, with 579 in the city of Hutchinson. The city's jobless rate went up from 2.7% to 3.1%.
State wide, the unemployment numbers held steady at 2.5%.
