Floyd Charles ‘Chuck’ ‘Cork’ Kelley, 84, of South Hutchinson, died July 15, 2021, at his home. He was born June 4, 1937, in Beloit, to Warren D. and Ava M. (Broadbent) Kelley.
Chuck graduated from Jewell High School. He served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. A Hutchinson resident since 1960, Chuck worked briefly for the Hutchinson Fire Department before taking a job as a truck driver for Dillons, a job he held for 35 years until he retired in 1998.
Chuck was an avid hunter, a lifetime member of the NRA, a member of Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 795.
On April 10, 1960, he married Donna Lee Schmidt, in Hoisington. They later divorced. On September 26, 1992, Chuck married Paula L. (Ford) Jordan, in Hutchinson. She survives.
Also surviving are: children, Denise Welch (Thomas), Charles Kelley (Robin), all of Hutchinson; granddaughters, Mindy Manning (Dusty), Hutchinson, Kristin Piña (Zach), Hutchinson, Chelsey Buttrey (James), Eldridge, MO, Shelby Kelley (fiancé, Eric Sanchez), Lakewood, CO; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Manning, Isaiah, Dominik, Preston, and Hudson Piña, Charli, Soyer, Qaidn, Kai, and Eisley Buttrey; great-great-grandchild, Ayla Chapin; stepchildren, Savanna Anderson (Joe) of Montevideo, MN, C.D. Jordan (Sandy) of Sioux Falls, SD; step-grandchildren, Joshua Anderson (Bri), Colton Anderson (Jennal), Keona, Chance, and Coleman Jordan; step-great-grandchildren, Kylin, Huxtin, and Brixon Anderson, and one on the way; and numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Jim Kelley; and sisters, Allure Kelley and Margaret Barrett.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
