HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Siemens Gamesa has landed a large wind project in Texas. The company announced Tuesday it will provide turbines for two onshore projects totaling 325 MW.

Siemens Gamesa will provide 65 of the 5.0 MW turbines with a 145-foot rotor span. Deliveries for the project are expected to begin in the summer of 2021 with the two sites getting commissioned by the end of the year. The two projects bring Siemens Gamesa's total wind power output in Texas to nearly 6 GW.

The nacelles will be assembled in both Hutchinson and Agreda, Spain, to meet a tight delivery timeline for the project.
