HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Stage 9 is expanding the If Walls Could Talk fundraiser to two Saturday nights this year, April 23 and April 30.
"Last year was our first year," said Dashona Mahoney with Stage 9. "It was a really popular event, so we're going to spread it out to two weekends this year, with the same six destinations both weekends. The six locations this year are going to be The Fox, that's where we're going to meet, the other locations are Carl's Bar, Re-Nu, the Reno County Museum, Stage 9 and the other one is Toy Depot."
The start of the tour will be slightly different this year.
"The Fox is actually going to be a little bit unique," Mahoney said. "We did a video, it's going to be a nice video, everybody will sit down in the Fox and get to watch that all together. Then, we're going to walk around to the different locations and there will be actors at each location that have a monologue that they are going to give you about a little bit of the history of each of the buildings."
You will need your walking shoes to get the full experience.
"We actually had business owners reach out to us and want to participate," Mahoney said. "We expect that this will be something that we'll be able to do for a very long time."
You can go to the Stage 9 website for tickets. Online tickets are $25 plus a $2 order fee or you can get tickets at the Fox immediately prior to the tours.
