Fatal Kan. shooting suspect moved from hospital to jail

SEDGWICK COUNTY—A suspect involved in a fatal shooting  is now in the Sedgwick County jail after moved from the hospital.

Just after 6:30p.m. Wednesday, deputies booked 26-year-old DeAdrian Johnson on requested charges of first-degree murder, according to online jail records. 

Just after 11:15p.m. March 6, police responded to report of a shooting in the 1000 Block of North Volutstia in Wichita, according to Police Captain Jason Stephens.

At the scene, officers located Johnson, Christopher Terrell and a 16-year-old with gunshot wounds. Though their investigation, police learned Johnson had been using drugs.  He shot and killed Terrell, wounded the 16-year-old and then turned the gun on himself, according to Captain Stephens.

Police arrested Johnson and are monitored him during his hospitalization.
