Clarence Harvey Briggs  |1963-2022| 

  Clarence Harvey Briggs, 58, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2022. He was born June 29, 1963 in Emporia to Clarence Harvey and Barbara (Sandburg) Briggs. Clarence married Mariea (Nash) Briggs December 9, 1983. They were married for 38 years.

Clarence worked in the Pipeline- Natural Gas industry. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Mariea of Isabel; daughter, Vanessa Owens of Isabel; grandson, Caden Williams; granddaughter, Ansley Owens; brothers, David (Julie) Briggs of Newton, and Robert Briggs of Newton; sisters, Susan (Dwayne) West of Pratt, Gail (Bill) McAdoo of Pratt; mother-in-law, Faye Nash of Birch Tree, MO; brother-in-law, Russell (Kelly) Nash of Birch Tree, MO; four step brothers, Ervin (Sharon) Birdsong of Turon, Robert (Mary) Birdsong of Mtn View, MO, Jackie (Vickie) Birdsong of West plains, MO, and Roger (Trish) Birdsong of West Plains, MO. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Clarence is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Harvey Briggs, Sr.; mother, Barbara Mae (Bill) Sandburg; brothers-in-law, Bill McAdoo and Richard Nash; father-in-law, Grover Nash; sisters-in-law, Barbara Nash and Daina Nash; step brother, Billy Birdsong; and step father, Billy Birdsong.

Visitation will be Monday, May 16, 2022 from 12:30 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. with funeral service following at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 16, 2022 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd, Pratt with John Hamm presiding. Burial will follow at Wellsford Cemetery, Wellsford.
