NICKERSON, Kan. — With the pandemic forcing school districts to go into the virtual learning mode over the past year, many districts are starting new virtual schools. Others like Nickerson USD 309 are expecting an increase in their virtual school enrollment for the existing Central State Academy (CSA).

According to the district, the CSA virtual program experienced little change when COVID-19 forced many traditional schools to move students to remote learning. USD 309 says they are preparing for a continued increase in enrollment from families who have found that virtual learning works best for them.

Central State offers an accredited curriculum and partners with Hutchinson Community College to offer dual credits to high school students who plan to attend college in the future.

Central State Academy K-12 Virtual School is currently enrolling for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. If you would like further information about Central State Academy, go to csa.usd309ks.org or contact Tracey File: 620-500-5945.
