HUTCHINSON, Kan. — More than 3,500 Evergy customers were without power in Hutchinson Sunday afternoon.
The power went out around 2 p.m. with the outage in mostly the northeast parts of the city. Power was out from roughly Main to Airport Road and from 11th to 30th Avenue.
Areas affected include the shopping complexes around K-61 and 17th Avenue. The area around Hutchinson Community College and a large area between Lorraine and Plum going east and west and 17th to 30th going north and south. This included the traffic lights at 17th and K-61.
No word on what caused the outage. Power was restored around 4 p.m.
