Harold James Phillips, 96, of Hutchinson, died October 20, 2021, at Buhler Sunshine Home. He was born June 15, 1925, in Hutchinson to Benjamin and Jessie (Benson) Phillips.

Harold graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1943. He was a lifelong farmer. Harold was a fan of the Kansas City Royals and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Mitchell Chapel United Methodist Church.

On January 12, 1952, Harold married Sally Lou Duby, in Nickerson. They shared 52 years together before she passed on February 26, 2004.

He is survived by: daughter, Rebecca Stark (Earl), Buhler; sons, James Phillips (Jonee), Auburn, David Phillips (Maureen), Hutchinson, Terry Phillips (Angie), Salina; daughters, Angie Phillips, Missy Harwood (Scott), both of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Fran, Brian, Dustin, Nicole, Todd, Jessica, Justin; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Bradley, Kadi, Baylee, Lyla, Miya, Logan, Oliver, Dexter, Harry, Peyton; great great-granddaughter, Juliet; brother, Donald Phillips, Hutchinson; and sister, Mary Holmbeck (Glenn), Bedford, Texas.

Harold was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Sally Phillips; brother, Richard Phillips; and great-granddaughter, Shelby Stowell.

Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
