Carol Marie Mosier |1947-2021|

Carol Marie Mosier, 74, of Hutchinson, died December 15, 2021, at Hospice House. She was born June 22, 1947, in Monmouth, IL, to Russell G. and Lillian M. (Johnson) White.

After graduating from Stronghurst High School in Illinois, Carol attended Sterling College, where she received her sociology degree. She later pursued an additional degree in teaching. Carol taught school for several years before going to work for Reno County Health Department. She then became a job placement counselor at Kansas State S.R.S. until she retired.

Carol enjoyed the simple things in life such as baking, reading, and spending time with family. She absolutely loved being a grandma and was affectionately known to her grandkids as “NASCAR Namo”. On Mondays, while in Arizona, you would find her at breakfast, enjoying coffee and the company of her two sisters.

Carol was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church in Green Valley, AZ, where she was actively engaged with the kitchen staff. Carol was known and loved by many through her acts of service. While living in Hutchinson, Carol attended CrossPoint Church.

On December 29, 1972, she married Rodney K. Mosier, in Stronghurst, IL. They later divorced, but remained good friends.

Carol is survived by: her children, Matt Mosier (Deanna) of McPherson, Karla Kuhn of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Tracy Mason, Judah, Israel, and Marah Kuhn, Jhordan and Jhaidyn Brown; sisters, Mildred Irwin (John), of Allegan, MI, Miriam Sawtell of Green Valley, AZ; former husband, Rod Mosier of Hutchinson; and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Mary Alice Dowell; and brothers Lyman and Lanny White.

Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place in Olena Cemetery, Olena, IL, in the Spring of 2022. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday, December 20-23, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary.
