Fresh off its fourth victory over a Top 10-ranked opponent, the Hutchinson Community College football team stayed on top of the NJCAA Division I Football Rankings for the 12th consecutive poll.
The Blue Dragons grinded out a 27-12 victory over previous-No. 9 Butler on Saturday in El Dorado to improve to 8-0 and 4-0 in the Jayhawk Conference. The Dragons start a year 8-0 for the eighth time in program history.

Hutchinson now owns Top 10 victories this season over No. 2 Iowa Western, No. 9 Iowa Central, No. 10 Coffeyville and No. 9 Butler.
The Blue Dragons extend their program record for longest consecutive weeks in the national poll to 59 weeks. The Dragons have been ranked in the top three of the NJCAA Rankings for 53 consecutive polls and have been ranked No. 1 in 48 of the 78 polls released in the Drew Dallas era.
Hutchinson is off this week with its second bye of the season. The Dragons close out the regular season at Highland on Nov. 15 and will play host to Garden City on Nov. 22 in Gowans Stadium.
The Top 4 teams from last week remained the same – No. 1 Hutchinson, No. 2, Iowa Western, No. 3 Tyler and No. 4 Northwest Mississippi. Copiah-Lincoln moved past Georgia Military into the fifth spot in the poll this week.
Three other Jayhawk Conference teams remain in the Top 15. Coffeyville (5-3) jumped up three spots to No. 8. Butler (5-2) dropped two spots to No. 11 after the loss to the Blue Dragons. Garden City (5-3) slipped three spots to No. 14 after falling to Iowa Western.
