
HUTCHINSON, Kan.— The City of Hutchinson had a major power outage Saturday afternoon. Power went out to nearly 4,500 Evergy customer around 1:30 p.m.
Three areas were without power for about two hours. One area was from Severance to Vanburen and from 4th Avenue to 17th. A second involved and area from Vanburen to Wilshire and from Avenue A north to W 11th Avenue and the third area was from near Hendricks east to Plum and from 4th Avenue north to 23rd Avenue.
Evergy says power was restored by around 3:30 p.m. Police and highway patrol manned intersections as many traffic signals were out.
