MANHATTAN, Kan.&nbsp;&ndash; Kansas State senior&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://www.kstatesports.com/sports/womens-golf/roster/carla-bernat/12238" rel="smarttag" rev="12238">Carla Bernat</a></dfn>&nbsp;has been honored as one of the best golfers in the nation for a second-straight season as she was named a First Team All-American by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), the organization announced Tuesday. The first All-American in school history when she earned the designation a year ago, this is the lone first-team designation in Bernat's career as she was placed on the second team by the WGCA and third team by&nbsp;Golfweek&nbsp;in 2023-24. The&nbsp;<a href="https://www.kstatesports.com/news/2025/5/1/womens-golf-bernat-named-big-12-womens-golfer-of-the-year-bert-earns-all-big-12-honors">2024-25 Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Year</a>, Bernat set the single-season program record for scoring average at 70.08 thanks to shooting in the 60s in 18 of her 39 rounds (46.2%). Bernat finished in the top five in eight of her 13 starts, while she did not finish outside of the top 20. Additionally, she finished at even par or under par in all 13 events. Bernat, a product of Castellon, Spain, closed out her collegiate career by finishing in the top 10 in each of the final five regular-season events &ndash; including a victory at the MountainView Collegiate &ndash; before winning the NCAA Lexington Regional and a tying for 14th at the NCAA Championship. A former transfer from Tulane, Bernat finished her two-year K-State career by ranking first in program history in scoring average (70.44) and second in wins (5), top-five (14) and top-10 (16) finishes. She also holds 10 of the school's top-25 rounds and 13 of the program's top-25 54-hole scores. The&nbsp;<a href="https://www.kstatesports.com/news/2025/4/5/womens-golf-victory-in-augusta-k-states-bernat-captures-augusta-national-womens-amateur-title">2025 Augusta National Women's Amateur Champion</a>, Bernat will compete in the U.S. Women's Open this Thursday through Sunday at Erin Hills Golf Course in Erin, Wisconsin.</div>
