Leola Aletha Osner, 89, passed away on March 2, 2022 at Wheatlands Health Care Center in Kingman, Kansas.
Leola was born March 23, 1932 at Belmont, Kansas, the daughter of Oliver and Aletha Blumanhourst. She attended Kingman Schools. Leola married Howard Osner on July 20, 1951, in Kingman. He preceded her in death in an accidental work-related accident on October 10, 1980. She was a home-maker, Mom, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren have many great memories of their grandmother attending their events and taking time to play with them whenever they came over to her house.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, St. Cecelia’s Daughter of Isabel, St. Ann’s Altar Society, lifetime member of Ladies Auxiliary and lifetime member in the National VFW Auxiliary. Leola was a very active Busy Bee 4-H leader and she is dearly remembered by many for her enthusiasm and dedication to 4-H.
Survivors are sons: Delbert (Vicky) of Kingman, Dallas (Deb) of Mulvane, and Kevin (Connie) of Dresher, Pennsylvania, daughters: LaReta (Bill) Hageman of Spivey, Karlene (Kenny) Roberts of Pratt, Sondra Oler of Wichita, and Linda (Dave) Jacobs of Fort Collins, Colorado, sisters-in-laws: Mary Blumanhourst, Grace Graber, and Mary Lou Osner. She has 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren: Tim Osner, Nikki Osner (Harley and Riley), Steve and Dawn Hageman (Brady and Makayla), Sherri and Andy Ahlberg (Dreyvn, Staley and Braelyn), Cindy and Ryan Schmitz (Alayna and Lydia), Karly and Curtis Little (Addison, Harper, Luna and Nora), Kelsy and Caleb Gillig, Craig and An Henning (Aemon and Arden), Brock and Naomi Oler (Kylie and Skye), Trey Oler, Jessica Osner, Patrick Osner, Christal Lloyd, Evan Osner, Michael and Amanda Jacobs, and Samantha and Chris Yellow Boy (Alexandria and Scarlett). She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, LaVeta, her parents, Oliver and Aletha Blumanhourst and her brothers, Wayne and Oliver Jr. Blumanhourst.
Parish rosary will be Monday, March 7, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Patrick Church in Kingman. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at St. Patrick Church in Kingman with the burial at Walnut Hill Cemetary.
