NICKERSON, Kan. — The Nickerson City Council will meet in a special session Monday evening to discuss what projects the public would like to see completed using the 1% sales tax revenue.
The tax, which is on the books through 2022, generates about $65,000 per year. Currently the city has about $187,000 in the line item. The funds can be used for a wide variety of projects including playgrounds, street, sewer maintenance, and water service.
City Clerk April Beshears says the Council will discuss what constituents are saying about how the money should be spent during the meeting.
The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at the Nickerson city offices.
