NICKERSON, Kan. — The Nickerson City Council will meet in a special session Monday evening to discuss what projects the public would like to see completed using the 1% sales tax revenue.

The tax, which is on the books through 2022, generates about $65,000 per year. Currently the city has about $187,000 in the line item. The funds can be used for a wide variety of projects including playgrounds, street, sewer maintenance, and water service.&nbsp;

City Clerk April Beshears says the Council will discuss what constituents are saying about how the money should be spent during the meeting.

The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at the Nickerson city offices.
